This recipe was sent in by Moki. It works on the sweet and sour principle: nice and spicy but the fruit takes the edge of it. This recipe differs from other curried sausage recipes in that it has a tomato base to it. This is our web site and we will make things the way we like. Preparation 10 - 15 minutes
Cooking 20 - 30 minutes
Serves 3 - 4.
Ingredients:
- 6 sausages
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 cans Tomatoes
- 1 red or green pepper (though the pic shows yellow) a.ka. capsicum
- 100 g mushrooms
- 1 handful of peas
- 1 chopped apple
- 1 tablespoon chutney
Instructions
- Start to boil sausages.
- Meanwhile, chop onion, mushrooms & apple and slice the pepper. Open the cans of tomato.
- Fry onion, curry powder and flour in a wok/big frypan. (You will be adding a lot ingredients in the next couple of steps.)
- Add the tomatoes, pepper, mushrooms, peas, apple, chutney (whatever)
- By the time you have prepared this, the sausages should be ready. (10 - 15 minutes should have elapsed.) Slice and add the sausages.
- Cover and cook on a low/medium heat for another 20 - 30 minutes. Start to prepare the rice or boiled potato you are going to serve it with.
- When both are ready, serve.
